INRTU Delegation Took Part in “Songolt-2025” Education Exhibition in Mongolia

The Russian education exhibition “Songolt-2025” was held on October 17-18 at the Russian House in Ulaanbaatar. The event launched the 65th Days of Mongolian-Russian Friendship and Cooperation, a large-scale program of cultural and educational initiatives. Twenty-six Russian universities and institutes from Tomsk, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Saratov, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Yakutsk, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Krasnoyarsk came to the Mongolian capital.

Over the two days, the exhibition was visited by more than 1,500 guests – schoolchildren, students, and teachers from educational institutions in Ulaanbaatar and the Central Aimag of Mongolia. The main goal of the exhibition was to introduce Mongolian high school students and graduates to the opportunities and advantages of receiving higher education in Russian universities.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished and high-ranking guests. Welcoming speeches were delivered by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia, Alexei Yevsikov; the Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Mongolia, Valeria Kilpyakova; and the Vice President of the “Mongolia-Russia” Union of Mongolian Friendship Societies, Yonongjamza Maxim. Among the honored guests were the Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Culture and Religion, B. Sereglen; the Minister of Education and Science of Buryatia, Valery Pozdnyakov; the Minister of the Government of the Republic of Buryatia for Interaction with Mongolia, Daba-Zhalsan Chiripov, and others.

A symbolic highlight was the parade of Russian universities accompanied by the white bear Umka, the exhibition’s mascot this year.

INRTU was represented at “Songolt-2025” by a delegation headed by Daria Zandraeva, the Head of International Admission Office. At the university's booth, guests learned about educational programs, admission rules, campus features, and opportunities to study under the Russian Government Scholarship. INRTU’s participation in the events of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Mongolia is a long-standing and productive tradition; this year alone, 64 students from Mongolia have been enrolled in the university under the Russian Government Scholarship.

The Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Mongolia, Valeria Kilpyakova, congratulated INRTU on its anniversary:

“The 95th anniversary is not just a milestone; it is a celebration whose salute includes the bright flashes of Mongolian-Russian unity, joy, and gratitude for the partnership. The Russian House in Ulaanbaatar salutes the jubilee university! All the best and prosperity to one of Russia's leading universities!”

She also noted INRTU’s contribution to promoting Russian educational programs abroad and developing humanitarian ties, emphasizing that the university is a constant partner of the Russian House – from national education exhibitions and language Olympiads to joint cultural and sports projects, including training programs for future energy specialists with the company En+ Group and the “Cup of Two Lakes” tournament on Lake Baikal and Lake Khövsgöl.
