INRTU Community Congratulates INRTU Graduate Jadambyn Bat-Erdene on His Election as Vice-Speaker of Mongolian Parliament

Jadambyn Bat-Erdene, a graduate of Irkutsk National Research Technical University, was nominated by the ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP) and elected to the post of Vice-Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament).

As the Russian News Agency TASS reports, citing the party’s press service, 78% of parliamentarians voted in favor of Jadambyn Bat-Erdene’s appointment.

Jadambyn Bat-Erdene was born in 1965 in Ulaanbaatar. In 1989, he graduated from the Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute (now INRTU) with a degree in Automotive Engineering. From 1990 to 1992, he worked as a manager at “Rybcoop” in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

From 1995 to 1998, Jadambyn Bat-Erdene received a second higher education at the National University of Mongolia, majoring in Legal studies, State and Administrative Law. He graduated from the Mongolian Academy of State Service and headed “Ashid Erdene” LLC.

Jadambyn Bat-Erdene worked as Head of the Government Implementing Agency's Transportation Department at the Road Transportation Authority, and as State Secretary of the Ministry of Road, Transportation and Tourism of Mongolia. In 2008, he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Mongolian Railway” State Owned Company, and in 2011, he chaired the Board of Directors of “MIAT” Mongolian Airlines.

He became Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party Committee of Bulgan aimag and was elected a Member of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, he served as Minister for Road Transportation Development. He has been awarded the “Polar Star” Order.

In 2018, the Academic Council of INRTU decided to award Jadambyn Bat-Erdene the title of “INRTU Honorary Professor”. This title is a symbol of recognition of merit and an expression of gratitude to the talented graduate for his personal contribution to the prosperity of his alma mater and the strengthening of friendly ties between Russia and Mongolia.
