INRTU and Dalian Vocational and Technical College Launch Joint Educational Programs

Irkutsk National Research Technical University is expanding its global reach with new joint educational programs developed in collaboration with Dalian Vocational and Technical College (DVTC) in Liaoning Province, China.

Under a cooperation agreement signed in November 2023, the initiative aims to improve the quality of personnel training and support the development strategy of the province. The two programs Design of Mechanisms and Production and Big Data and Accounting will be implemented incorporating advanced educational approaches.

INRTU and DVTC will jointly develop curricula and teach subjects by the best specialists of the two institutions, with INRTU experts delivering over a third of core courses in English. The programs are expected to enroll up to 100 Chinese students each year.

Endorsed by China's Ministry of Education, as announced during INRTU delegation visit to DVTC in April 2025, the first students are expected in September 2025. Administrative support will be provided by INRTU's International Scientific and Educational Projects Department.

This project builds on INRTU's successful collaborations with other Chinese universities, including Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (since 2018) and Shandong Institute of Aeronautics (formerly Binzhou University, since 2022).
