iDigital-38 Forum: IT solutions exhibition at INRTU
Prospective IT solutions were presented by major companies at an exhibition at Irkutsk Technical university
The event took place in the framework of iDigital-38 forum in the lobby of the university on October 27-28. The interactive stands attracted the interest of Igor Rymorenko, Minister of Digital Development and Communications of Irkutsk Region, forum speakers, as well as students and teachers.
Visitors to the exhibition highly appreciated the OCS Distribution company's platform developed in the interests of import substitution. The stand contains Russian software and technology, which allows the customer to assemble a domestic solution - fr om hardware to software.
According to Ivan Perov, head of infrastructure solutions development at OCS Distribution, the issue of import substitution is currently acute and the volume of business of Russian IT vendors is growing:
"We are actively engaged in scaling the created platform. Our stand demonstrates that Russian companies are as ready as possible to switch to IT infrastructures developed by domestic manufacturers"
The author of Alt operating systems, Basalt SPO, presented the workstation of a teacher, a student and a pupil. Several application programs for teachers and students were created in the infrastructure. The operating system is widely used in Russian schools and universities.
INRTU and Basalt SPO signed a cooperation agreement at the plenary session of the iDigital-38 forum. The parties plan to open a training centre on the basis of the university and to hold hackathons and conferences. The cycle of events will help the Moscow company to sel ect talented students for internships.
A strategic partner of Irkutsk Technical University, the company Forums, presented a platform developed specifically for trainees. On the portal students can leave an application, specify their competencies, and get acquainted with real projects that Forum's employees are working on. Depending on their skills, applicants will then be invited to internships or paid internships.
Employees of Megafon PJSC told the guests about technological solutions for business, including targeted advertising, business tariffs, etc.
The stand of MFC of Irkutsk region also became useful, wh ere those who wished could get consultation fr om representatives of centres, register or restore access to the portal of Gosuslugi.
Guests learned more about information and legal support from the exposition of the company "Garant-Service". The organization implements innovative solutions using the latest computer technology, Internet, mobile devices, interactive format of data presentation, satellite technology.
Visitors also got acquainted with the Irkutsk company Zeon, a major supplier of computer and server equipment. The company is engaged in IT outsourcing, business automation, implementation of local computer networks, installation of telephone networks from scratch and modernisation of existing telephony.
