Festival of INRTU First Day Admission: Motorcycle Parade, Employer Booths, and Prize Giveaways
The INRTU admission launched on June 20 with an opening ceremony. Prospective students can pursue engineering or humanities degrees at the university, with options for both scholarship-funded and fee-paying study.
Rector Mikhail Kornyakov welcomed the applicants:

"You're making the right choice by selecting this university. Leading regional companies are present here, ready to offer you employment and career growth. Create, develop and change the world with us. Your success begins here today!" INRTU Rector addressed from the stage.
The Rector personally greeted 2025's first university applicant Vladimir Perepyolkin with a campus-branded T-shirt before they spectacularly launched the new admission season with fireworks. Vladimir proceeded to submit documents accompanied by little seal mascot Snezhok. A graduate of Irkutsk's School No. 44 and the first corporate 'Polyus-class' in Priangarye at INRTU. He passed Unified State Exams in Russian, mathematics and specialized chemistry. His sister studied metallurgy at INRTU, and Vladimir chose "Metallurgy" as his priority, with "Mineral Processing" ("Mining") as backup.
The event was sponsored by university partners: Irkutsk Oil Company (IOK), En+ Group, VTB Bank, Irkutsk Aviation Plant (a branch of PJSC Yakovlev), Pharmasyntez Group, GV Gold, Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk, Polyus (Sukhoi Log), and Russian Engineering Union.
Recruiters held career consultations and awarded prizes. Pharmasyntez Group invited future students to take part in chemical experiments and a lottery. The lottery winner received a guaranteed spot in the targeted admission program.

"Talented youth are vital for oil and gas. The company engages students from first year through scientific conferences. Last year students are invited for internships to the company." said IOK's External Potential Development specialist Irina Yermakova.
Yermakova conducted a quiz about oil, gas and polymers, awarding souvenirs (cardholders, T-shirts, stickers, board games).
The prize draw winner was Irkutsk resident Stanislav Kulchenkov, who won a grill house visit at the University sports camp. A silver medalist from Irkutsk School № 23 with 223 Russian State Exam points, he plans to study chemical technology.

"I enjoyed INRTU's Festival Day, especially the concert, bike rally and prize draw. I spoke with Pharmasyntez representatives — I want to arrange targeted training with them. I'm awaiting my silver medal, which will give me admission advantages," said Stanislav.
