Baikal Center of Artificial Intelligence Announces the Start of the “Open IT Lab” Project

The Baikal Center of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies (Baikal AI Center) invites students of INRTU to take part in the educational project “Open IT Lab”.

Yuri Basirov, Head of the Baikal AI Center, emphasized that the “Open IT Lab” will contribute to the development of Irkutsk's IT potential. The initiative is aimed at training specialists working in the field of information technology, as well as students, teachers, entrepreneurs, enthusiasts, and all interested individuals.

“We are launching the ‘Open IT Lab’ to improve digital literacy, primarily among students. The project will create opportunities for professional development and retraining for specialists from various fields, as well as for supporting and nurturing young talents in information technology,” noted Yuri Basirov.

Participants will be able to try their hand at various fields: front-end and back-end development, databases, game development, UX/UI design, and more.

Baikal AI Center plans to conduct free educational events as part of the project: lectures, seminars, master classes, and workshops on relevant IT topics. Mentorship programs will be created for beginners and students.

In addition, the project involves organizing project hackathons, contests, case championships, and other events that stimulate the development of practical IT solutions.

The main training materials are planned to be hosted on a unified information platform. The platform is being created for knowledge and experience sharing, finding like-minded people, and forming project teams.

Partnership activities are also planned: cooperation with state, commercial, and non-profit organizations.
