A cyber-physical model of an isolated energy system was created by employees of the INRTU School of Energy

The scientific team led by Konstantin Suslov, the head of the Department of Power Supply and Electrical Engineering conducts research on the topic "Methods of mathematical modeling and control of cyber-physical energy systems: theory and applications."

The implementation of this project was assigned by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. These scientific research is being carried out within the framework of the Priority 2030 Program.

It should be noted that scientists of the Irkutsk Technical University have been conducting research in this area for many years. Dmitry Karamov, Ilya Shushpanov and Dmitry Gerasimov, employees of the Department of Power Supply and Electrical Engineering, created a full-scale cyber-physical model of an isolated energy system. It allows to get new algorithms and refinements from existing ones, verify data, collect and automatically analyze the main operating parameters. It makes it possible to set up regulatory actions on the developed system using neural networks.

“The results of this practical work promoted new scientific tasks. Our initiatives are supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. This indicates the prospects of our efforts.

We plan to use the cyber-physical model as an object for testing various control algorithms,” said Konstantin Suslov.

Let us add that professors Andrei Kryukov, Yuri Bulatov and Denis Sidorov made a significant contribution to the development of mathematical models. Also students and post-graduate students of INRTU were actively involved in the research.

The authors of the project take part in international scientific conferences. During the period of work, the team published 10 articles in journals with a high level of citation (Impact Factor), peer-reviewed in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus.
