Specialized courses for foreign teachers are dedicated to methodological approaches to teaching Russian as a foreign language. The summer school program includes lectures and practical sessions, roundtable discussions, as well as visits to cultural, historical, and natural heritage sites of the Baikal region (landmarks, museums, theaters, libraries, and excursions).
Program's duration is 4 weeks:
- in July (application deadline before May 20)
- in August ( application deadline before June 20).
Upon completion of the summer school participants are issued with certificates of professional development (144 hours).
Tuition and accommodation at INRTU are free of charge.
Participants are responsible for covering the following expenses:
• Round-trip airfare to Irkutsk;
• Meals (approximately $8/day);
• Cultural program (optional excursions to Irkutsk sightseeings and Lake Baikal).

- scan of international passport (should be valid at least 6 months from the expected date of entry to Russia).
If you wish to obtain a certificate of professional development upon completion of the School, an additional set of documents is required:
- duly certified translation of international passport into Russian (pages with personal information, photo and passport expiration date);
- duly certified translation of educational certificate with academic transcript into Russian;
