The summer school is designed to immerse teachers of Russian language into Russian culture and language environment and to expand methodological tools in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Upon completion of the summer school participants are issued with certificates of professional development.
The program includes training sessions and visits to cultural, historical and natural heritage sites of the Baikal region (sights, museums, galleries, theaters, libraries).
Program's duration is 4 weeks:
- in July (application deadline before May 20)
- in August ( application deadline before June 20).
The studying and accommodation are free of charge, but participants have to cover the following expenses on their own:
-airplane tickets to Irkutsk and back;
-food (about 6 dollars/day);
-cultural program (trips to the sights of Irkutsk and Lake Baikal, optional).

Requirements
To participate in summer school please provide the following documents to email amelenteva@istu.edu:
- application form (download at https://disk.yandex.ru/i/iWL2EU8E9P6b5w);
- scan of international passport (should be valid at least 1,5 years from the expected date of entry to Russia).
If you wish to obtain a certificate of professional development upon completion of the School, an additional set of documents is required:
- duly certified translation of international passport into Russian (pages with personal information, photo and passport expiration date);
- duly certified translation of educational certificate with academic transcript into Russian;
