THE EXPERIENCE THROUGH STUDENT’S DAY IN OUR UNIVERSITY INRTU 2023!

On January 25th, it was Student’s Day, and there had been interesting events at the Polytechnic University. Especially for us, new students, it had been a memorable moment. We were taken to many places in the university like library, university hall, canteen, shops, and more!

Firstly, Dumpling Day! We were welcomed by the tour guide from BS BRICS Elena Perelygina, she helped us to drop our jackets, and waited for the commencement of the event. Our teachers Nataliia Petrova and Tatyana Zhendareva also came along with us, and we were waiting together, while the event began by welcoming everyone, and played games to entertained the audience, followed by the rector’s speech.

We have chosen a number randomly to participate in making colorful dumplings. It was our first time making it, we were given all, what needed to make the colorful dumplings. We were mixed in groups with other international students and Russians. As a team, we have to make many dumplings as we could. To me precisely I learned it same time, and perfect in making dumplings in that event. We wore socks and other chef cooking clothes, so we looked amazing. About an hour we finished, and all dumplings were collected and cooked. It was delicious and colorful: dumplings in green, yellow and white.

We took many pictures, and I was interviewed by two different PRESS media on how I felt, how was my experience, and what can I say about the day.

We ended the first event after eating cooked dumplings and took many pictures with warmed thanking by the host to us.

Secondly, we walked to INRTU museum formally named ‘Publishing House of INRTU’ .

One of the behavior of Russians in general is that they always welcome their guest with respect and hospitality, and that was how we were welcomed in INRTU Publishing House museum.

They showed us notebooks and textbooks of students from 1950-80, as well as their attributes of student life, many historical things, pictures, and lots more were there. They showed us evolution of film equipment as well as we watched cult Russian cartoon, the museum continues to operate an interactive exhibition dedicated to the history of cinema in Irkutsk.

We received gifts and thanked hosts for their hospitality and showing us their historical moments, equipment and adventure. That’s how we ended the tour in INRTU museum.

Thirdly, we walked to BS BRICS building to accept our invitation through a round tour and knowing more about BS BRICS courses, tuition fees and dormitories.

It was quite a cold day, we walked to BS BRICS meeting the Director of BS BRICS Anna Pavlovna Kireenko. She was happy to saw us and asked us about previous places we went, how we felt which is obviously perfect for us and interesting as we told her all about it.

She already prepared presentation slides to tell us more about BS BRICS, available courses, tuition fees with discounts and scholarships.

It was interesting, and she asked us for questions, she even offer interested students to join mathematics classes starting in February, which it turns out I always want that chance so I was so happy about that. We ended the meeting with her by answering our questions, and letting us took a tour of the building too.

It was really interesting, educative, creative and memorable day in our life of INRTU!
