Scientific discoveries of eminent Russian Scientists are the engines of progress. The words became the motto of the Students' Workshop on 12 May, 2023. To learn more about Russian cultural heritage, its famous scientists and their global contribution, 70 students of the Bachelor 1st year program together with 20 students-organizers from BS BRICS participated in the workshop.
It was a great sense of pride for the Director of Baikal School of BRICS, Anna Kireenko and international students who represent the five leading economies of BRICS countries including African and South East Asian economies. The workshop kicked off with the Director’s motivational speech to the students. Once the session began, the eager beavers got down to business.
The workshop was an educational initiative under the dynamic leadership of BS BRICS Professionals’ Team – Natalia Petrova, a Deputy Director for Educational Work, Ilya Kruchinin, an Assistant-teacher, Nicole Michelson, a Head of the Students’ Union Bureau, together with the Scientific Advisors, Balzhima Turtueva, Anastasia Orlova, Zhanna Afanasieva, Olga Kumyalova, Dmitry Karamov, Erzhena Dorzhieva.
As brilliant organizers and facilitators, they significantly contributed to a successful implementation of the workshop. The purpose of the event was not only to generate awareness but also to engage the freshmen and familiarize them well with the intellectual heritage of Russia.
The Russian saying ‘Live and Learn’ turns out to be true.
The students from the respective faculties namely, Artificial Intelligence, International Business, Linguistics, Finance and taxation, Journalism, Power and Electric Engineering, chose their esteemed scientists of Russian decent on whom they prepared quiz, games, biopic and established various stations with plethora of activities for the respective participants.
