INRTU Student Dmitrii Kalenitskii Completed his Internship at Inha University in Republic of Korea

Dmitrii Kalenitskii, a third-year student of INRTU , completed his internship at Inha University (Republic of Korea). During the semester, INRTU student mastered information technologies, attended courses in Korean and English.

Dmitrii is studying computer science and computer engineering at INRTU. The staff of the International Office, headed by Nina Berngard, facilitated the student's internship abroad.

Dmitrii Kalenitskii reported that in 2023 he successfully completed the Winter Online School of Kangwon National University (Republic of Korea). During the lectures, the INRTU student mastered the beginner level of the Korean language and immersed himself in the culture of the country.

"Thanks to the online school, I was able to adapt quickly to the internship and establish communication with international students. If there came any organizational issues, one could always contact the International Students Network. This is a special club that takes care of students from other countries. Besides, Korea has very friendly teachers ready to help and give advice," says Dmitrii.

Inha University is located in the city of Incheon, a two-hour drive from the center of Seoul. The university offers courses in mechanical engineering, chemical and computer engineering, business administration, international trade, and linguistics.

At the Korean university, Dmitrii mastered disciplines related to those he studied at INRTU. He took courses in computer networks, databases and IT technologies, and improved his spoken English and Korean. Translated into a 100-point grading system, the student scored 80 points.

The student was accommodated in a comfortable dormitory located on the university campus. There was a gym, a cafe, a laundry room, and many recreational facilities for self-study in the dormitory building.

In his free time, Dmitrii visited various museums, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Lotte World amusement park in Seoul. In Suwon, Korea's largest city, he visited Hwaseong Fortress.

"I was very impressed by the whole trip. In Korea, I was able to communicate with wonderful people from other countries and learn about their culture. It was a valuable experience that I will remember for the rest of my life," the student said.

After graduation, Dmitrii Kalenitskii will continue his studies in the INRTU master's program.
