"POV: Study in Indonesia": Students from Universitas Kristen Indonesia Shared Their Experience with INRTU Students

The public discussion "POV: Study in Indonesia" was organized by INRTU International Office at the "Boiling Point". The students from different institutes of INRTU, who are fluent in English and interested in becoming participants of academic exchange programs, were invited to the meeting with students of the Universitas Kristen Indonesia.

Nina Berngard, Head of the INRTU International office, reminded that year INRTU delegation visited Indonesia and signed a number of agreements with universities, including Christian University this March. In early May, a memorandum of understanding between the two universities was signed in videoconference format.

"The result of the agreements was the arrival of five female students from the Universitas Kristen Indonesia to INRTU. The girls are studying at the Baikal School of BRICS in the fields of International Business and Modern Power Engineering Technologies. Our event is dedicated to acquaintance with the Universitas Kristen Indonesia. Polytechnic students will learn about the requirements for admission, the peculiarities of the educational process. Indonesian students will share their impressions. They have also prepared a fascinating quiz for the participants of the meeting. Memorable souvenirs are waiting for the winners", - said Nina Berngard.

Kirill Kovalev, a third-year student of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law, was interested in the meeting:

"It is important for me to examine my English skills. Now I pay a lot of attention to language practice, as I have to take an English exam in my final year. Besides, I am interested in learning more about such a unique country as Indonesia and the possibilities of exchange studies. The format of the meeting, which we were offered today, is very successful - by talking directly with students from the Christian University, we really get first-hand information".

Students watched a video about Indonesia, the largest country in Southeast Asia, with its unique culture, architecture, traditions and history, as well as incredible tropical nature.

The students actively asked questions and enthusiastically completed all the stages of the quiz.
