INRTU upgraded its position in the Russian Ministry of Education and Science's "Priority 2030" program

The Council for Support of University Development Programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation summarized the results of the selection among the universities participating in the "Priority 2030" program for the special part of the grant. The recipients of the special (increased) part of the grant included 48 universities from 22 regions.

The Irkutsk National Research Technical University increased its position and moved up to the second group of the track "Territorial and (or) sectoral leadership". Three more universities from the third group moved up with it: Siberian State Medical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, and Ufa University of Science and Technology.

In total in the second group on "Territorial and (or) branch leadership" were included 13 universities. By the end of 2023, in addition to the basic part of the grant (100 million rubles), these universities will receive a total of 5.9 billion rubles for the entire group.

Rector of INRTU Mikhail Korniakov congratulated the team of the university with the achieved result and wished not to decrease the growth rate next year.

"Moving to a higher position in the Priority 2030 program is not only additional financial resources and recognition of the university's results, it is an opportunity to develop the research and engineering potential of our young scientists and students, through their participation in the creation of new competitive technologies and developments for various industries.
