INRTU and Liuzhou Polytechnic University Launch a Joint Robotics Program
The official ceremony to launch the joint educational program in robotics and mechatronics was held in the assembly hall of Liuzhou Polytechnic University. The event took place during a working visit to China by INRTU Rector Mikhail Korniakov.
The first cohort of students was welcomed by Rector Mikhail Korniakov and the President of the Chinese university, Mr. Gang Jingming. They wished the students success in their studies and emphasized the program's role in strengthening ties between the two universities and nations.
To date, 79 Chinese students have enrolled in the program and have begun their studies.
This program is the first Russian-Chinese degree program launched at Liuzhou Polytechnic University. The university is located in a major industrial hub of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The city is home to enterprises fr om various sectors, including mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, aerospace, and the food industry. Liuzhou is one of China's largest automotive centers, with an annual production output of over 2.5 million vehicles.
Liuzhou Polytechnic University maintains close ties with industrial companies. These partnerships provide the university with state-of-the-art equipment and robotic systems for students to hone their practical skills.
Under the program structure, the Chinese students will spend the first three years at their home university in Liuzhou, followed by two years at INRTU, wh ere their studies will be conducted in English. The curriculum also includes special modules delivered by INRTU lecturers at the Chinese university. The INRTU-side program coordinator is Roman Kononenko, Head of the Laboratory of Hardware and Software for Computer Engineering.
INRTU currently implements four joint educational programs with Chinese partner universities. These include one program each with Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Shandong University of Aeronautics and two programs with Dalian Vocational and Technical College. The new initiative in Liuzhou will become the fifth such program launched by INRTU in China.
