Courses in sports programming launch at INRTU

The INRTU opened an enrollment to the courses on sports programming. The training is aimed to prepare students for the ICPC International Championship and paid internships in Yandex, OZON, Tinkoff, CROC and other companies

Sports programming is solving algorithms at speed using different languages. The course, which starts in mid-February, is open to any INRTU student. The program is designed for six months, but the most interested students can attend classes until the end of their studies at the university.

At the beginning of the course, participants will be divided into groups according to their skills (experienced and beginners). Offline and online classes will be conducted under the guidance of coaches - professionals in the field of sports programming.

The courses include lectures and practical classes, where students will improve their skills in effective programming in C++, learn to solve different problems and algorithms, learn dynamic programming and combinatorics. There will be an intermediate assessment after studying each block. The final test will be organized in a form of competition.

25 INRTU students attend the sports programming courses now. They demonstrate success in their studies and become participants in prestigious tournaments. Skills in sports programming allow graduates to advance their careers.

Kirill Tirskikh is the leader of the sports programmers' movement at INRTU. He noted that communities in this area have been created in almost all technical universities of the country:

"Knowledge in this area will help graduates to become highly-demanded IT specialists. A great amount of employers often test the ability of future employees to solve algorithms at speed during job interviews.

Also, students will know about selections for paid internships through our courses. Initiative students will be able to find partners for the implementation of their own projects".
