According to Associate Professor Margarita Zhelnovakova, more than 100 media professionals and students of INRTU, Irkutsk State University, and Irkutsk Pedagogical College took part in the event. Speakers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ulan-Ude and Vladikavkaz joined the conference via videoconferencing. The authors talked about the development of blogs, the use of artificial intelligence and neural networks in the media.

At the opening of the conference, Oksana Antipina, Deputy Director of School of Economics, Management and Law, stressed the importance of discussing the development of digital technologies in the media.

Iuliia Vairakh, Head of the Department of Advertising and Journalism, wished the participants professional inspiration. She hopes that students will meet mentors for guidance on the path of scientific research.

The plenary session was opened with the report of the senior assistant of the head of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of Russia in the Irkutsk region Karina Golovacheva. She shared her experience as a PR lawyer.

Karina Golovacheva graduated from INRTU more than 10 years ago with a degree in journalism. She started her professional career on television and in an information agency, and two years later she became an employee of the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. To grow professionally, she received additional legal education in 2016.

Now, Karina Golovacheva is the only person in the Investigative Department responsible for public relations and social media coverage. She works closely with representatives of the police and the Federal Security Service. She receives information for press releases at the meetings. Sometimes she goes to the scene herself, regardless the time of the day.

Karina Golovacheva said,

"I choose the most interesting facts that reflect the work of investigators to prepare a press release. I put the main idea in the headline, and try to make the material as understandable as possible for the reader who is not aware of the legal subtleties. Earlier I sent out press releases by e-mail, but now I use messengers. In order to increase the reader's interest, the materials are supported by photos and videos."

The responsibilities of the senior assistant also include monitoring of publications and videos in the media. Such monitoring allows identifying violations of the law, and helping people who find themselves in difficult situations.

"Recently, thanks to the monitoring, we managed to return the ramp to the entrance of one of the residential buildings in Bratsk. Thus, in three days the problem of disabled person was solved", - pointed out Karina Golovacheva.
