The School Of Young Leader, Organized By the Trade Union Student's Club, Was Attended By More Than 100 People

According to Anton Koshkin, Head of the Trade Union Students' Club, the School of Young Leader is a traditional event that has been held at the university for more than 10 years. INRTU's students attend master classes on public speaking, time management, learn about scholarships and competitions. Lectures and workshops are conducted by employees and activists of the Trade Union Students' Club and guest speakers.

“As part of the introductory lecture, I told the students about extracurricular activities and projects. Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Daria Lobanova held a business game for the guys. Alexandra Krizhevets, Operations Manager of the Irkutsk State University's Hospitality Center, head of the “Tourism” platform of the Forum “Baikal” in 2024, dedicated her speech to student tourism.

Using the gamification system, we gave participants “profcoins”, which can be exchanged for souvenirs from the university and the Trade Union Student's Club. This system of rewarding active students runs for the third year”, Anton Koshkin spoke about the School's program.

For the first time in a long time, students from the Faculty of Professional Education and the Branch of INRTU in Usolye-Sibirskoye became participants of the School of Young Leader. Senior students tried themselves in the role of instructors: the organizers positively evaluated such experience.

“We have taken a course on the development of student self-government in professional education organizations, so on October 2-3 we will open trade union bureaus in the Mechanical Engineering College and Geological Exploration Technical College. This will allow us to form a unified system and attract more students to the INRTU's extracurricular activities,” Anton Koshkin added.

Mikhail Bonko from the School of High Technologies shared his impressions about the project:

“I learned about the School of Young Leader from the INRTU's VKontakte group and decided to join the project to gain knowledge and new experience. The most memorable were master classes on time management and public speaking. Together with the team I took the first place in the game, which I am very happy about”.

We should add that in November the Trade Union Student's Club together with the Department of Youth Policy will hold a forum of student associations.
