Mathematics Teachers from Mongolia Completed Professional Development at INRTU
INRTU hosted the closing ceremony of the Summer School for mathematics teachers from schools in Mongolia. Participants received certificates confirming completion of a two-week professional development program.
The school brought together 12 teachers from Ulaanbaatar schools, lyceums, educational centers, Mongolian National University of Education, Mongolian National Defense University, and other institutions.
The teachers improved their information technology skills and successfully passed final assessments. They learned about cutting-edge methodologies, artificial intelligence technologies, and specialized software used for solving mathematical problems. The academic program was led by Ruslan Galiakberov, a staff member of INRTU's Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
Certificates were presented by INRTU Vice-Rector for International Affairs Stepan Bykov and Director of the Center for International Services Alina Shubina.

“Congratulations on the successful completion of the educational course. May the knowledge gained at the summer school serve you well in your professional endeavours. We hope that you will recommend our summer project to colleagues from Mongolia. We express our gratitude for assistance in running the school to the administration of the Mongolian National University of Education and Professor Tserennadmid Bathuu, who accompanied the participants and assisted with translation,” addressed Stepan Bykov.
At the closing, the Vice-Rector also outlined educational opportunities for Mongolian students at INRTU:
“We welcome your talented students. Thirty state-funded spots are available in En+ Group-supported bachelor’s degree programs in electrical and thermal power engineering, with additional scholarships, free dormitory accommodation, and university cafeteria meals”.Stepan Bykov added that 15 scholarship spots sponsored by “Mongolrostsvetmet” and “Erdenet” enterprises are available for applicants from Mongolia.
Professor Tserennadmid Bathuu of the Mongolian National University of Education thanked the INRTU leadership for their hospitality and Ruslan Galiakberov for engaging lectures and seminars.
During the Summer School, guests visited the Victor Bronstein Gallery, State Mineralogical Museum named after A.V. Sidorov at INRTU, and Lake Baikal. Teachers also organized independent excursions, such as viewing Angarsk famous marmot monument (an animal common in Mongolia).
"We took a train to Slyudyanka to walk along Lake Baikal’s shore. Locals told us about blueberry patches, so we disembarked at a station. Without venturing deep into the forest, we gathered berries near the railway. This fascinated us – blueberries are rare in Mongolia," said Tserennadmid Bathuu.
