INRTU Students are Invited to the Presentations and Master Classes of the Career Marathon

On October 26, INRTU launches the Career Marathon, supported by more than 40 companies. It will start with a large-scale poster session in the university hall. Students are invited to presentations and workshops on professional and flexible skills development. INRTU students will get to master the basics of business communication and test their stress resistance. The most active students will get internships and job offers from the University partners.

According to Diana Kopaigorodskaya, Head of the Career Center, over 40 companies will take part in this year's Career Marathon, 15 of which will meet Irkutsk students for the first time.

"Such companies as PJSC Kolymaenergo, LLC Geometry, LLC AP Trade and some others showed interest in INRTU. However, we expect workshops by INRTU strategic partners - enterprises of petrochemical, gold mining, aviation, metallurgical and other industries. The full list of companies is published on the university website," said Diana Kopaigorodskaya.

By her words, each year the Career Center organizes an eventful week for students. On the first day, October 26, at 10:00-12:00 a.m. a live broadcast called "With The Important About Important" will be held. Successful alumni will share their career stories. The Entrepreneurship Day is scheduled for October 27. Within her master class, chocolatier Natalia Galaktionova is going to show how to make delicious confectionery. Furthermore, there also will be organized workshops with INRTU partner companies.

The Career Opportunities Day will be held on October 30. INRTU students will learn job hunting and contract making details. Natalia Donchenko, a leading specialist of the Career Center, will discuss the important topic "Practical training - a start to your future job". A lecture on employment opportunities in the field of youth policy will be held jointly with the Students' Trade Union.

The Hard-Skills Day is scheduled for October 31. Students are welcome at workshops on chemistry, construction, food technologies, industrial ecology, and additive technologies. Senior bachelor's students are sure to be interested in master's programs presentations. Thus, INRTU students will have a better understanding of the new profession or will choose to go on with the already studied area of specialization.

Over the next day's soft-skills workshops INRTU students are supposed to develop their negotiation, stress and working time management and professional self-presentation capacities.

The students will also take part in the regional career marathon to be held in the Sibexpocentre (Baikalskaya St., 253a).
