INRTU Signed Cooperation Agreements with Three Universities of Shenyang, China
The signing ceremonies took place within the framework of the official visit of the Irkutsk region delegation headed by Governor Igor Kobzev to Shenyang.
On the Chinese side, the documents were signed by the rectors of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, Shenyang Normal University, Shenyang Aerospace University. Fr om the INRTU side the agreements were signed by Rector Mikhail Korniakov.
Regional delegation is visiting the administrative center of Liaoning Province, wh ere the presentation of economic and investment potential of the Irkutsk Region is taking place.
Irkutsk National Research Technical University signed a cooperation agreement on the establishment of the Russian-Chinese Technology Transfer Center with Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (SUCT). The document is aimed at strengthening international scientific and technical cooperation and exchange, joint use of scientific achievements and experience, as well as realization of joint use of technological innovations.
INRTU has been cooperating with Shenyang University of Chemical Technology since 2018. The universities implement the Russian-Chinese educational project, carry out joint training of highly qualified engineering staff in the field of energy under the English-language bachelor's degree program "Energy and Power Engineering". Students are trained on the basis of SUCT on a full-time course of study with the curriculum agreed with INRTU. Every year 60 candidates enroll in the program. Graduates of the program receive a diploma of SUCT and can enter the master's program of the School of Power Engineering of INRTU. INRTU provides teaching of more than half of profile disciplines of the educational program.
Also during the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between INRTU, Shenyang Normal University and the Irkutsk Branch of the Union of Designers of Russia. The parties intend to strengthen cooperation in the field of joint research, scientific conferences, student exchange, organization of competition and exhibition activities and joint educational programs.
INRTU is a long-standing partner of Shenyang Normal University (SYNU). During the period of the covid pandemic, SYNU supported INRTU by providing Chinese students of the Baikal School of BRICS with remote learning and accommodation in its dormitories.
Since 2023, INRTU and SYNU have been successfully implementing a joint master's degree program in linguistics. Currently, seven Russian students of the Baikal School of BRICS are studying Chinese at SYNU. For the second year they will study at INRTU. Diploma defense will take place in two universities.
Rector of INRTU Mikhail Korniakov invited colleagues from Shenyang Normal University to participate in exhibitions held by the university, as well as in the week of Chinese culture, which will be held in INRTU on October 7-12, 2024.
The signed agreement will be aimed at realization of creative projects, as well as exchange of experience in the sphere of design and fine arts.
An agreement on scientific and educational cooperation was also reached with Shenyang Aerospace University. Both universities plan to focus their efforts on joint research activities and scientific projects, creation of special short-term academic programs for teachers and students. It is planned to open joint educational programs of double diplomas at the level of Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
