High school students were introduced to the professions of criminologist and graphic designer at workshops at INRTU
High school students fr om “Point of the Future” visited INRTU within the framework of the career guidance project "One Day at the University" on February 3. The participants got acquainted with some aspects of work of criminalists and graphic designers.
Valeria Chertkova, who accompanied the children, noted that they were interested in getting technical and humanitarian professions at INRTU. According to the tutor, vocational tests help young to people make the right choice:
"Before coming to the university, we conducted a survey among students and determined popular directions. According to the results of the survey, the professions of criminologist and designer were leading.
The impressions of the lessons were positive, so we intend to join the project "Engineering vacations". Our kids are interested in aircraft engineering and biotechnology. "
Elena Kurochkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting and Design named after V.G. Smagin, suggested students to create graphic signs, depicting animals in three geometric shapes - a square, a triangle and a circle.
Valentina Turkova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law held a class on criminalistics. She said that the criminalistics workshop is popular among schoolchildren. The class helps future students to choose between criminal and civil law profiles.
Sofia Spivak, a high school student, has been attending the school's graphic design club for two years, wh ere she learned Adobe Illustrator skills. At the forensics class, the high school student felt like an expert:
"At the workshops at INRTU, I learned about the work of a criminalist and a designer. Next time I plan to attend programming classes at the School of Information Technology and Data Science. I know the basics of C++ and Python, so I intend to choose a profession from the IT sphere."
