Teachers and students of INRTU are invited on December 1 to the opening of exhibitions devoted to Vitaly Smagin and his school

According to the press service of the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum. The audience will be able to see paintings and drawings, both early and later period of the artist. On the anniversary date the artist's widow Lyudmila Smagina donated to the museum three paintings, which will also be presented at the exhibition.

The name of Vitaly G. Smagin is inseparable from his students. Vitaly Georgievich with his wide professional erudition became the founder of a new art school. On the same day, December 1, an exhibition "Vitaly Smagin's school" opens. The exposition includes not only classic paintings and drawings, but also works made in the techniques of monumental and decorative painting: mosaic, stained glass, fusion, hot enamel.

The exhibition is intended to show the whole palette of talents of teachers and graduates of the department of monumental and decorative art: Natalia Dovnich, Grigory Sverdlov, Dmitry Dorokhin, Maria Bykova, Marina Akisheva, Elena Sergeichuk, Larisa Malkina, Evgenia Smorge, Anastasia Izhganaitene, Nadezhda Malysheva, Catherine Ilkova.

All participants are united by the similarity of cultural aesthetics. At the same time each of them is a bright creative individuality. The works of the authors are exhibited in museums and galleries in Russia and other countries. All of them have established themselves as professionals in the art world and joined the ranks of the Union of Russian Artists, and regularly become winners and laureates of exhibitions and competitions at the international and national level.

Exhibitions "Vitaly Smagin. To the 85th anniversary of the artist" and "Vitaly Smagin's school" will run in the Gallery of Siberian art (23 Karla Marksa St.) until January 29, 2023.
