Students' Day in "Taltsy"

INRTU students celebrated the Russian Students' Day in the "Taltsy" Museum of Architecture and Ethnography. The holiday was organized by Youth Policy Department of the university with the support of the Students Trade Union and the Center for Cultural and Educational Work.

INRTU rector Mikhail Korniakov emphasized that in 2023 an extensive holiday program was prepared for students. However, a good tradition still remains a sports-mass event in the "Taltsy" museum:

"We were making multi-colored dumplings and participated in the event "Everybody gets on ice". We decided to finish this week in the "Taltsy" museum. I wish everyone to have a good rest and gain energy before the new academic term."

Mikhail Ermolaev, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee, and Yulia Selezneva, representative of the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region, also congratulated the students on this holiday. She thanked the management of INRTU for the organization of the  mass-cultural event, and wished the students success in their studies.

The comedians team "Irkutsk Polytechnic" played jokes about students life. Igor Morozov, a member of KVN* team, continued to communicate with the audience as a presenter. Folk ensemble of Russian song "Kalina" performed a song "My homeland is Siberia.

Students were offered to master walking stilts, to run in teams on skis and pass the "Running in sacks" race, to play mini-hockey. Polytechnic students showed the greatest interest in the station "pillow fight". Contestants tried to knock each other down without leaving the log. The winners were given improvised coins, for which the students could buy sbiten and cakes, prepared by the staff of the Catering Center. The sbiten was poured personally by the rector of INRTU Mikhail Korniakov.


KVN is an abbreviation of Клуб весёлых и находчивых, Klub Vesyólykh i Nakhódchivykh or Ka-Ve-En, "Club of the Funny and Inventive"

Ruben Romario Ratu Simbiak, a first-year student of Baikal School of BRICS , who majored in international business, was impressed by the team skiing.

"In my home country of Indonesia, they celebrate Students' Day during the summer vacations. We have fun parties and cook national dishes.

I was invited to "Taltsy" by Genty Uopdana, an INRTU student. Today I stood up on skis for the first time and even won in the team competition. Then my friends and I warmed up with tasty sbiten."

Ksenia Gorynina, a first-year student of School of High Technologies gladly took part in sports competitions and led in running in sacks.

"At INRTU I am mastering chemical technology. I devoted the first semester to my studies and also got acquainted with the city wh ere I was to live. I finished the winter session successfully and came to "Taltsy" for the student holiday. I like outdoor activities, I am good at skating, so I easily ran the distance in a sack," shared her impressions Ksenia Gorynina.

The event ended with the lottery. Polytechnic students received valuable prizes from the project partners En+, Sberbank, VTB, Inside sports mafia club, Topkinskiy Virazh tubing track, Mozgoboynia quiz, Big Ben language school, Dandy club, Show today entertainment center.
