Presentation of Corporate and Training Center by ALROSA

The INRTU hosted a student meeting with ALROSA diamond mining company representatives where the Corporate and Training Center (CTC) was introduced. The event was organized by the university Career Center as part of the Career Marathon.

The Company's representative said that despite the extensive mining, Russia still boasts the world's largest diamond reserves in the subsoil to support the industry for decades to come. In 2009, in terms of output, ALROSA overtook De Beers Corporation, which mines diamonds in several countries. Russia is the largest diamond mining state in the world, with ALROSA-provided 95% of the country's overall production.

Today on the basis of INRTU Corporate Training Center specialists in two areas are trained for the company: Automation of Technological Processes and Productions in Industry and Ground Transport and Technological Means and Complexes. The CTC-bound students study the Company-required disciplines for successful employment.

Besides, ALROSA features a scholarship program for students with an average grade point of 4.0 or higher. The monthly payment amounts to 10 thousand rubles.

As an advantage, students shall receive professional competencies in the diamond mining industry, graduation theses to be supervised by the ALROSA specialists, as well as fare and accommodation expenses-paid internship. In turn, the company benefits from qualified young personnel able to achieve the field's top positions and develop the complex diamond mining industry.

Director of School of High Technologies Evgeny Antsiferov noted that students would receive a second state diploma on retraining:

"For further professional development, you will need a lot of temporal and material resources. ALROSA is the world's leading diamond mining company. It is important not to miss your chance and get a second free education at the University and then consider your employment option."

The third-year student of Engineering Geodesy program Vadim Fedorov became interested in the Company's presentation:

"This year I shall enter my practical training, therefore I am considering different options. The opportunity to become the ALROSA scholarship holder looks quite attractive, so I'm committed to applying for it."

At break time, a thematic quiz was held with the winners receiving memorable gifts from ALROSA diamond company.

Presently, the Corporate Training Center has vacancies on Automation of Technological Processes and Productions in Industry program for 3rd year students and above. In order to get into the CTC, you need to submit your resume to INRTU Career Center and pass the competitive selection process.
