INRTU Health Fair

"May you always have 36.6!" - was the motto of the Health Fair at INRTU. The event, organized by the Department of Youth Policy, caught the interest of INRTU students and staff.

The fair was opened by the Head of the Department of Youth Policy Irina Byankina, who introduced the participants and wished the INRTU students a good time.

In the university hall there were more than 10 places that could be visited according to the itinerary. For consultations with specialists, students and teachers received pleasant bonuses, including hematogen, vitamins, oxygen cocktail, fruit or vegetable cups.

Traditionally, there was a long queue at the stand of the S.N. Fedorov NMRC "MNTK "Eye Microsurgery", where INRTU students had their eyesight checked.

For the first time, the SberHealth service, which helps students make quick appointments with doctors and get online consultations, took part in the event. Representatives of the service presented "smart" devices, for example, a tonometer that transmits indicators to the application. Also presented was a "smart camera" that receives and transmits high-quality images of ENT organs to the attending physician. It synchronizes quickly and easily with a smartphone via Wi-Fi. This feature allows the user to save the photo or video in the mobile application. The device increases the informative value of online consultations and expands the possibilities of remote diagnostics.

The consultations of specialists of the Scientific Center for Health Problems and Human Reproduction, the Irkutsk Regional Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention were very popular at the health fair.

The doctors of the City Polyclinic No. 11 measured height, weight, and blood pressure, and gave valuable preventive recommendations.

Questions of students and employees were answered by specialists of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. In addition, the Regional AIDS Center provided an express HIV test for the interested visitors.

Oksana Levchenko, a leading accountant in the Planning, Accounting and Audit Department, joined the event every year.

"Health should always be a priority. Today I checked my eyesight, got acquainted with the "SberHealth" service and "smart" devices. It's convenient that you can upload all your health data to the app and consult a doctor online," said Oksana Levchenko.

Denis Romanov, a future lawyer from INRTU School of Economics, Management and Law, shared his impressions:

"I managed to go through all the fair’s venues. It was especially useful to measure my blood pressure, height and weight, and to consult with the medical staff of Eye Microsurgery.

I lead a healthy lifestyle, I do sports regularly at the INRTU Physical Education and Wellness Center. I believe that health should be monitored from an early age".

INRTU will organize the next Health Fair in November.
