En+ Group has completed accepting applications for the second intake of the IT Academy project

En+ Group (LSE: ENPL; MOEX: ENPG), a leading vertically integrated producer of aluminum and electricity, has completed accepting applications from students to participate in the second stream of the IT Academy project. This program of additional education was developed by Energoholding in 2021 jointly with Irkutsk National Research University (INRTU).

According to the information of the Department of Public Relations and internal corporate policy of the company, 180 applications were received from students of 7 schools of the university and other educational institutions to participate in the second intake. The number of applications has almost doubled compared to last year, which indicates the popularity of the project. A significant part of the applicants are excellent students, or have an average academic score of 4.7 or higher.

According to the results of the competition, 100 students with the best academic results will be selected for the IT Academy. As additional criteria - participation in scientific activities, social or sports life, positive feedback from teachers. Another 15 people will be placed on reserve. They will also be able to attend classes and gain valuable knowledge from experienced specialists and invited IT industry experts.

The start of the educational process is scheduled for March this year. Students admitted to the IT Academy will begin to study the theoretical foundations and gain practical skills. The result of the first stage will be the protection of their own projects under the guidance of experienced mentors, employees of En+ Digital.

The IT Academy is designed to provide the company with young IT personnel who are also confidently versed in the metallurgical and energy industries. After overcoming all the stages, graduates will have the opportunity to work in En+ Digital, receive competitive wages, and use a set of social guarantees.
