Cosmonaut Sergey Ryazansky Meets with INRTU Students
On October 3, INRTU students had the opportunity to talk with cosmonaut and Hero of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryazansky. He shared stories from his life in space, offered advice on overcoming challenges, and emphasized the importance of teamwork. The meeting was organized as part of the Polymetal JSC Days at INRTU.
Sergey Ryazansky is a PhD in Biology and the first scientist in the world to command a spacecraft. At the meeting, the students learned about the cosmonaut's life, his preparation for flight, and the situations he encountered in space.

“The main job of a cosmonaut is to constantly learn. Change is part of our lives, and that's normal. If we are mentally prepared for it, we can overcome any difficulties,” says Sergei Ryazansky.
The cosmonaut spoke on the interaction between crew members— people of different countries and cultures working as a team. He emphasized that the success of the mission depends not only on professional skills, but also on the ability to provide mutual support and find effective solutions together in critical situations.
Sergey Ryazansky showed the students his photographs taken during his space flights, as well as a video about “pizza day” in space.
The meeting wrapped up with a lively discussion. The cosmonaut answered a bunch of questions and gave some valuable advice.
Polina Sleptsova, a student at the INRTU School of Economics, Management, and Law, is very familiar with the cosmonaut's biography. At the meeting, she was interested in what kind of startups could be implemented in space:

"I learned about unique technologies in the absence of a gravity vector, which could lead to breakthroughs in medicine.
Sergey Ryazansky is a versatile and interesting person. People like him are another reason to be proud of our great country and the development of Russian science. Many thanks to the organizers of the meeting for the opportunity to talk to such an outstanding person."
Kirill Rakhlyansky, a third-year student in the INRTU Department of Advertising and Journalism, was also greatly impressed by his meeting with the cosmonaut.

"Sergey Ryazansky is a great storyteller. He answered tricky questions with a touch of humor, but also took them seriously. We learned a lot from what he said, and most importantly, it was really motivating.
What I remember most are his stories about interacting with other people in space, about the need to use psychology and learn how to work in a team," Kirill noted.
