INRTU Students Took the First Place at the All-Russian Youth Forum “Oil, Gas and Mining”

The XIII All-Russian Youth Forum “Oil, Gas and Mining” was held in Perm. INRTU students became winners of the conference “Problems of Hydrocarbon and Ore Mineral Deposit Development” (Section No. 3 “Geodesy and Geomechanics”).

INRTU students also took the second place in the intellectual tournament on surveying. Rector Mikhail Korniakov and Head of the Department of Mine Surveying and Geodesy Aleksandr Zagibalov congratulated the students on their success.

Nikolay Naidenko and Alexander Laptev from INRTU took part in the section "Geodesy and Geomechanics". The authors of the best presentation were Maria Nazirova and Danila Pozharin, who evaluated the possibility of using amateur aerial photography to solve mine surveying and geodesic tasks.

"We discussed equipping an existing FRV drone with special modules to determine the exact position of the drone in the air. Such a solution reduces working time and facilitates the labor of engineers. Our development was highly appreciated by students and staff of Perm Polytechnic University, noting that we were not afraid to take on a complex topic", said Maria Nazirova.

Danila Pozharin, Maria Nazirova and Nikolai Naidenko also took second place in the competition in mine surveying. The students successfully completed 25 tasks and four questions requiring detailed commentary. Students showed great skills in solving practical tasks.

Congratulating the students, Aleksandr Zagibalov, Head of the Department of Mine Surveying and Geodesy of the School of Subsurface Resource Management, reminded that the members of the student scientific society “Alidada” participated in many contests and competitions over the past two months.

“In October, we became finalists of the Russian Mining Award in the nomination “Personnel Project of the Year”. Notably, “Alidada” under the leadership of Anastasia Kalugina is the only student association to be awarded with such a prize.

In addition, the students successfully made presentations at the V All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference in St. Petersburg", Alexandr Zagibalov shared the students' achievements.

The team of INRTU headed by Rector Mikhail Korniakov wished the future mine surveyors and geodesists new discoveries and achievements.
