"Student Spring on Baikal” Festival in INRTU

INRTU hosts the festival “Student Spring on Baikal” on March 14-31. Students compete in concert programs, exhibitions and performances, show their skills and talent in various nominations. The theme of the creative marathon is “Spring. Youth. Infinity.”

Tatiana Dashko, Director of the Center for Cultural, Mass and Educational Work, congratulated the students and leaders of creative teams on the opening of the festival.

“There is sunny outside and we hear beautiful voices of vocalists at the university, accompanied by music, playing instruments. That means that “Student Spring” has come. For the second year INRTU holds a competition in different nominations, which attracts more and more gifted young people. We will see new and already loved by the public numbers performed by professionals and those who are engaged in amateur art. The best participants will take the stage on March 26 at the gala concert of “Student Spring”, said Tatiana Dashko.

Participants presented numbers in vocal, choreography, instrumental and original genres, theater. The performances were evaluated by performing skills, artistry, stage image and culture. The contestants were announced by the host, student of the School of Power Engineering Danila Zaitsev.

The jury included Sergey Travnikov, an actor from the Predmestye Theater, Irina Dolotova (“Kalina”), Inna Chernykh (“Shagi”), Natalia Poteryeva (“Etnobit”), and Yulia Markova, deputy director of the Center for Cultural, Mass and Educational Work.

The event started with a drumming performance, followed by a joint performance by a pop vocal studio and a rock club. Additional events during the festival include competition programs by different schools and faculties, an online project called "Drum Sniper," an educational event for lovers of poetry and prose called "PO-SLO-GAM," a ballroom dancing tournament, an exhibition of works by muralists and much more. The festival also has a special premiere play in celebration of World Theatre Day on March 27.
