Over 400 INRTU Graduates Receive Diplomas in Construction, Architecture and Design
The graduation ceremonies were held for the graduates of the School of Architecture, Construction and Design at INRTU. A total of 256 students received diplomas in Construction and 145 in creative fields.
Mikhail Korniakov congratulated the graduates, emphasizing that the university always welcomes them as postgraduates, employers, and guests at various events. The rector wished everyone a good path and achievement of their goals.
Alexander Galkin, Minister of Construction of the Irkutsk Region, stressed that there are many professional opportunities ahead for the graduates:
“Construction engineer is proud and honorable profession. Our country is launching big construction projects, in which you can participate and contribute to the development of the entire industry.”
Svetlana Schmidt, head of the Urban Planning and Development Service of the Sayansk City Administration, invited the graduates to live and work in the youngest city of the Angara region. According to her, there are vacancies for construction control engineers, design engineers, and there is also a need for an architect.
Vitalii Peshkov, Director of the School of Architecture, Construction and Design, noted that an INRTU diploma is a symbol of the quality of knowledge and skills acquired by students at the university. Inviting graduates to continue their studies at their alma mater, he added that more than 100 state-funded places are provided for the Construction direction. Urban planners, architects, and designers can get a new profession.
“During my student years, I was not only studying but also engaged in public activities. I joined the student team movement, which allowed me to discover my talents. Thanks to the Student Teams Headquarters, I participated in the patriotic action “Snow Landing,” won the International Construction Championship, and took part in various masterclasses.
What I will remember most fr om my student years is the time spent in the student teams and my group. The guys helped in difficult times and were positive in any situation.
The next stage is a master's degree at INRTU,” stated the graduate.
Urban planner Anastasia Domanina is also ready to continue her studies in the master's program at her alma mater. The graduate is proud that she once chose INRTU, the university wh ere she received her higher education and became an interesting person.
“During my years of study, I laid a solid foundation for further professional development. In addition, I actively engaged in sports. I repeatedly became a prize-winner of Russian championships, and I was a champion and record holder of Russia in athletics.
In the fifth year, I had the chance to lead the student entrepreneurs' club and help students in the business field. I also repeatedly won regional competitions fr om the “Russia – Land of Opportunity” platform. All these achievements allowed me to join the World Youth Festival 2024, wh ere I represented our region and university as a young urbanist.
I am preparing to enter the master's program in urban planning. At the university, I will continue my sports career and develop student entrepreneurship,” shared her plans Anastasia.
