New Year's Greetings from Rector Mikhail Korniakov

Dear friends!

The New Year 2025 is coming. Traditionally, we celebrate this holiday in the company of family members and closest friends. As the chimes strike, we make our cherished wishes and believe that they will definitely come true.

The passing year brought new challenges, successes and victories. The main efforts were focused on the implementation of the university development program under the federal grant “Priority 2030”. This year the university performed more than 100 R&D projects valued at over 700 million rubles, the conducted research and technological developments made a significant contribution to the development of various industries of the region and the country. Despite the high competition in the market, our university has significantly expanded its partnership with industrial companies and universities, making the transition from one-off R&D orders to systematic work with industry.

This year INRTU not only completed the admission campaign for full-time bachelor's and specialist's degree programs on time, but also improved the quality by enrolling applicants with high exam scores. The average exam score was 67.8, while last year it was 63.3.

The effective work of the team is confirmed by the fact that INRTU is among the top 100 best universities in the country (RAEX Agency rating) and the top 50 of the national university rating according to Interfax.

In 2024, we have done a lot to expand international educational and scientific-technical cooperation. The number of foreign students of the preparatory department has more than doubled; the income from the export of education has increased by 26%. The global task of the Russian universities is to increase the number of foreign students to 500 thousand by 2030. Therefore, we will have to join efforts to achieve these goals.

In anticipation of the holiday I would like to express my gratitude to all those who teach, research and organize, provide systematic work of the university. I wish you new successes in the coming year! May your loved ones be healthy and happy! May your most cherished dreams come true!
