INRTU students became finalists in the All-Russian Competition for Junior Entrepreneurs
INRTU students reached the II All-Russian Competition for Junior Entrepreneurs finals which was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The competition aims to promote innovative technologies and entrepreneurship and to develop business skills among students in the implementation of inventive, practice-oriented ideas. Our students presented startup ideas dedicated to the creation of digital price tags and the introduction of wear-resistant pipes made of composite materials in the housing and utilities sector.
The judges praised the project of INRTU team, whose leader Igor Tribunskiy is a third-year student of School of Architecture, Construction and Design. The students proposed to replace paper price tags in supermarkets with electronic ones. It is assumed that information on price tags will be updated automatically by software. This will reduce the workload of shop employees who have to change the labels on the counters frequently.
The team supervised by Vyacheslav Barakhtenko, associate professor at INRTU, also came into the final. The authors proposed to organize manufacture of corrosion-resistant pipelines for construction and repair of heating networks. It is the excellent alternative to popular steel pipes which are prone to damage because of accidents in the system of housing and utilities services, contact with chemical substances.
Igor Tribunsky's and Vyacheslav Barakhtenko's teams and six other teams of the INRTU will perform at the final event of the championship.
