INRTU Retains its Place in the Priority-2030 Program
The Council of the Priority - 2030 program, chaired by Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, has approved the list of 100 universities from across the country that will participate in the main track of the initiative. INRTU has secured its place among them, confirming its status as a participant in the Priority - 2030 program.

"Despite the intense competition among Russian universities, INRTU has emerged as one of the leading institutions ensuring high quality engineering education and technological innovation. I would like to thank the university team for their cohesive work, our industrial partners for their support and joint progress, as well as Governor Igor Kobzev and the Government of the Irkutsk Region for their support and backing of our initiatives," commented INRTU Rector Mikhail Korniakov on the results of the competitive selection.
A total of 119 universities will receive support: 100 in the main track, 5 in the creative field, and 14 universities from the Far Eastern Federal District.

"A distinctive feature of this Council meeting was the new perspective of universities on their development programs - focusing on specific projects for cooperation with industry. This is a serious challenge and an important milestone for most universities. Each participant presented a specific technology project through which we evaluated the overall work and the university's vision for its development strategy. During the defense, each team of participating universities included top managers and executives from key partner companies. All of this underscores the growing role of the program and universities in the country's economy," said Minister Valery Falkov.
To evaluate the strategic technology projects and oversee their implementation, an expert group was formed, consisting of researchers from various subject areas. They assessed the ambition, feasibility, and resource availability of the projects submitted by the universities.
As a result of the selection process, 11 universities were included in the first group, each set to receive about 1 billion rubles. The second group consists of 21 universities, each allocated 460 million rubles. The third group includes 68 universities, with each receiving up to 100 million rubles. The funds can be used to create incentive payment systems for teachers, develop university infrastructure, purchase high-tech equipment, attract world-class researchers, and organize scientific events.
INRTU has been included in the third group and will receive state support of up to 100 million rubles. The approved list of participants and candidates for the 2025 program is available here.
