INRTU Creative Teams Won Five Grand Prizes at the "Siberia Lights Up the Stars" International Festival
The teams of the INRTU Center for Cultural, Mass and Educational Work successfully participated in the International Festival-Contest "Siberia Lights Up the Stars" - an annual event of the "Planet of Talents" Foundation. INRTU students presented more than 20 performances, won five main prizes and 17 diplomas of the 1st-3rd degrees.
The Festival was held on April 4-7 at three venues in Irkutsk. On the INRTU stage students who wanted to show their choreographic skills performed pop songs and were judged by experts in the "Original Genre" and "Fashion Theatre" nominations. Irkutsk Regional Music College named after F. Chopin hosted the contestants in the nominations "Academic Vocal", "Instrumental Genre" and "Choral Singing". Creative tests were also held at the Irkutsk State Railway University.
The jury of the Festival consists of well-known artists, teachers, musicians, actors and choreographers. The performances were judged by Vasily Shcherbakov, professor of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and Vasily Shcherbakov, teacher of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Music Institute. Vasily Shcherbakov, professor of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, teacher of the Schnittke Moscow State Institute of Music Evgeny Kovalenko, soloist of the Baikal Quartet ensemble of the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic Society Sergey Vysokikh, associate professor of the Department of Modern Choreography of the Moscow State Institute of Culture Natalia Gofman and others.
The Ethnobit ethnic percussion studio under the direction of Natalia Vlasevskaya and "I Hear the World" social and creative school headed by Andrei Martsenyuk received the 1st Degree Diploma for the piece "Taiko". The drummers of "Ethnobit" became laureates of the 2nd and 3rd Degree as performers of "The Angara Beauty" and "Arabic Composition".
"To be among the best at such a festival is a special honor for the INRTU drummers. It is also gratifying that for the first time the participants of the "I Hear the World" School won the 1st prize in the "Siberia Lights Up the Stars" competition.
“Siberia Lights Up the Stars” introduced students to professionals in the instrumental genre. They will definitely use the advice of experts in preparation for the recital to be held on April 13, and on April 25 we will perform at the regional Studspring Festival" said Natalia Vlasevskaya.
The jury highly appreciated the performances of the Kalina ensemble led by Irina Dolotova. INRTU students were awarded two main prizes. Nikita Shatov and Danila Razvozzhayev were awarded for their performance of the songs "Heaven over Water" and "The Girl". The main cast of the Kalina also excelled, presenting Cossack romances and a number of other compositions. One of the performances was accompanied by choreography created by Olga Gorina. The duet of Danila Razvozzhayev and Victoria Vasilieva was awarded a 1st degree diploma. Maria Artyomova, Veronika Sitnikova and Yana Andreevskaya, newcomers to Kalina, excelled in the competition.
The Shagi School of Modern Choreography was awarded the Grand Prix for the performances "Commune" and "Aragats". According to the information of the head of the school Inna Chernykh the performance "Walk" by the freshmen Matvey Nalunin and Valeria Vostretsova was highly appreciated. Three diplomas of the 1st and one diploma of the 2nd degree were added to the team's creative achievements.
At the "Siberia Lights Up the Stars" Festival the tap-dance studio "Chetchetka", the vocal ensemble "Sing, Friend!", the pop vocal studio and the "JAM" pop-jazz ensemble made successful performances.
