INRTU Awarded Scientists and Held an Intellectual Game in Honor of the Day of Russian Science

INRTU organized an intellectual game and awarding of researchers who contributed to the development of the university's scientific potential.

Rector Mikhail Korniakov congratulated young scientists and experienced researchers:

“The University is not only about training highly qualified personnel, but also about conducting advanced research aimed at the development of domestic science and technological sovereignty of our country. I wish every scientist good luck and new discoveries”.

In 2024, INRTU researchers published 1783 papers in various journals, of which 140 were indexed in the Web of Science database, 236 in Scopus, 124 in RSCI, and 620 in VAK. Two articles were published in Nature Index journals.

INRTU employees have fulfilled three state assignments, realized two grants of the Russian Science Foundation. The amount of funds for research and development from the real sector of economy amounted to 488.5 million rubles.

The scientists were awarded in an unusual format - the welcome speeches were given after the intellectual game. The participants of the game demonstrated excellent knowledge in different fields of science, such as chemistry and biology. The final round included questions related to the history of INRTU.

Mikhail Korniakov presented letters of gratitude to 35 employees and 10 teams of the university who contributed to the development of national science, research potential of INRTU and promotion of the university in the international scientific and educational space.

Summarizing the results of the event, the Vice-Rector for Research of INRTU Aleksandr Kononov thanked his colleagues:

“I wish you breakthrough research and grateful students who will become outstanding scientists in the future”.

Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Angara Region, congratulated the staff of INRTU on the Day of Russian Science. In his welcome address he thanked the university for active scientific and educational work aimed at the development of scientific potential of the Irkutsk Region, wished them more ideas and achievements.
