The Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Russia and the Innovation Promotion Foundation summarized the results of the fourth stage of the Student Startup competition as a part of the federal project "University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform". 265 talented university students, postgraduates and graduates, including four participants from INRTU, will receive 1 million rubles each to develop their own business projects. Over 6 thousand people applied for the competition; representatives of 368 universities from 71 regions across the country are on the list of winners. All in all, 1,500 people became winners in 2023; the total amount of funding is 1.5 billion rubles.

Irina Byankina said,
"The staff of the office told students about the benefits of the competition, helped to fill in the applications, and prepared letters of support from the university. We will offer UMNIK or Student Startup-2024 competitions to all those who did not pass the selection in 2023."
Three INRTU students were the winners of the contest in the of "New devices and intelligent production technologies".
Fyodor Deryugin, the INRTU master's degree student and the participant of Quantum, won funds for the development of a system of acoustic monitoring of the technical condition of an electric engine. The student has been working on the project for several years and has already created a team, which consists of Daniil Kravchuk, Nikita Voloshin and Yonatan Levin. The student team has produced prototypes; one of them is being tested at the facility of Vostsibugol Company. Fyodor Deryugin plans to purchase the necessary equipment and improve the system, and then apply for participation in the Start program.
Egor Zykov, a talented second year student at School of Aircraft Construction, Mechanical Engineering and Transport, is designing an automated line for dismantling components from electronic boards. The robot will be able to remove memory chips, microprocessors and other parts from non-functional gadgets. These parts will be checked for the reliability and the information about them will be put on the store website. People will be able to buy the necessary components much cheaper.
"The system is in demand among service centers and developers of various devices. The project has environmental significance, as it is aimed at recycling and reusing of electronic components.
Each member of my team has an idea for a unique device that requires expensive components that are rarely available. That is why we will use some of the components for our own purposes," said Egor Zykov.
The INRTU student will use the funding for experiments, an advertising campaign, and the production of a trial series of USB flash drives.
Among the winners of the contest is the third-year student Vladislav Matel. He is creating a "Helicopter" model aircraft. It will be an educational kit that will allow everyone to assemble a drone, understand aerodynamics, radio control and UAV programming.
Fourth-year student Vyacheslav Strokov showed great results in the area of "Digital Technologies". He is creating an application Time check under the guidance of professors Andrey Dorofeev and Konstantin Zheltov. The program is designed to control the user during the performance of tasks, and not to allow them to be distracted by social networks, etc.
