A Delegation from the Chancery of the Kyrgyz Republic Embassy Visited INRTU

Staff of the Chancery of the Kyrgyz Republic Embassy in the Russian Federation visited INRTU. The diplomats discussed with the Rector of the University Mikhail Korniakov the issues of engineering personnel training, organization of internships for Russian teachers and participation of CIS students in the Navruz holiday.

The delegation included Azamat Omuraliev, Consul of the Chancery of the Kyrgyz Republic Embassy in the Russian Federation, and Salyzhan Karagulov, legal adviser.

INRTU was represented at the meeting by Rector Mikhail Korniakov, Director of the Center for International Services Assia Kontrimovich and Head of the International Affairs Department Anna Melenteva.

According to the consul, he started working in Irkutsk in June 2024. The consular district under his authority covers the Angara Region, Buryatia and Trans-Baikal Region. Azamat Omuraliev is continuing his acquaintance with the organizations of the region, which also includes INRTU.

"Bilateral relations between our countries are at a high level. The priority of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy towards Russia is based on the common interests of the peoples of the two countries. The second state language in our republic is Russian. All this creates conditions for strengthening co-operation. Besides, in Kyrgyzstan specialists with higher engineering education, which is provided by your university, are highly valued," the consul noted.

Mikhail Korniakov expressed his gratitude to the guests for the visit, noting that INRTU actively develops relations with the Kyrgyz Republic. In September, INRTU joined the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities. The university has almost 70 students from Kyrgyzstan; most of them are studying chemical technology, aircraft engineering and subsoil use.

Azamat Omuraliev discussed the possibility of increasing quotas for applicants from the Kyrgyz Republic to enroll in INRTU. In response, the Rector proposed to consider the option of training specialists to meet the needs of Kyrgyz enterprises.

The agenda of the meeting included the topic of integrating the efforts of the university and the diplomatic mission in organizing national cultural festivals. The consul supported the proposal of Assia Kontrimovich to attract students from Kyrgyzstan to organize the celebration of the traditional holiday Navruz. The holiday can unite citizens of CIS countries, who make up half of the foreign students of INRTU.

Anna Melenteva shared the university's experience in organizing annual summer schools for professional development of international teachers of Russian language.

During the internship they take an intensive methodological course, learn about the culture of Russia and Siberia.

"Upon completion of the program, we award the participants with certificates of advanced training. The free educational project was first held three years ago, it brings together teachers from China, Mongolia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. We will be glad to see teachers from Kyrgyzstan at our courses”, emphasized Anna Melenteva.
