88 Students Became INRTU Academic Council Scholarship Holders

The award ceremony of the Academic Council scholarship holders took place on 18 December at the Tochka Kipeniya ("Boiling Point") co-working center. 88 students became the winners of the competition. On New Year's Eve the scholarship holders will receive 10 thousand rubles each.

Bonus payment is a measure of support for commercial higher education and secondary education students.

Students with ‘good’ and ‘excellent’ grades at the end of two semesters are allowed to participate in the competition. The most important condition is to have achievements in research, social, cultural, creative, educational, or sporting activities. The achievements of INRTU students are evaluated by a committee chaired by the Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Daria Lobanova.

The scholarship holders were congratulated by Vladimir Smirnov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs:

‘INRTU is one of the few universities that supports commercial and vocational students. We are always happy to reward those who excel in their studies and other activities, who strive to achieve success. Achievements characterize you in a positive way, highlighting your ability to prioritize and be motivated.’

Varvara Kulichenko, a third-year student, was awarded the diploma of the winner in cultural and creative direction. She studies world economy and business at the university and is a singer of the ‘Sing, Friend!’ ensemble. As part of the group, Varvara performed at the ‘Russian Student Spring’ in Saratov and was the organizer and participant of the ‘We+’ student choirs festival in Irkutsk.

‘Before entering INRTU, I studied at a music school and played the cello. However, the soul wanted to sing, so I joined the ‘Sing, Friend!’ ensemble. Our leader, Galina Gilenova, devotes a lot of time and energy to our progress in choir singing. Special thanks to INRTU for the support. I will use the scholarship to buy theatre tickets’, - said Varvara Kulichenko.
