18 Russian Language Teachers from Five Countries Became Graduates of the INRTU Summer School
Summer School for Russian Language Teachers completed its work at INRTU. Certificates and diplomas were awarded to 18 participants from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, China and Poland.
Stepan Bykov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, spoke at the closing ceremony:
“For teachers, summer is vacation time. We are pleased that you have decided to spend August with benefit by coming to the INRTU's Summer School”.
Anna Melenteva, Head of the International Affairs Department, and Alina Kutimskaja, Senior Lecturer, congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the Summer School.
“On summer courses we see talented, open, capable and friendly Russian language teachers. Your group was no exception - we exchanged experience and charged each other with positive energy. I suggest that we keep in touch and meet whenever possible,” Alina Kutimskaja addressed the trainees.
Khoeruman Hilman Fauzia from Bandung (Indonesia), who teaches Russian at Padjajaran University, shared his impressions of the school. Thanks to the project, he became confident that Irkutsk university provides quality knowledge in engineering and humanities, which may interest Indonesian students.
“Every year, Padjajaran University recruits a group of 50 people who want to learn Russian to enter foreign universities. We hope for partnership with INRTU, so at the defense of final projects I spoke about Indonesian higher education, about our 17 faculties with almost 40 thousand students”, - commented Khoeruman Hilman Fauzia.
Mahigul Dzhurabaeva from Uzbekistan is among the graduates of the Summer School. She has 30 years of pedagogical experience, 24 of which she devoted to schoolchildren. For the last six years Mahigul has been working at the Kimyo International University in Tashkent. The guest of INRTU noted historical and cultural travels and classes on the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
“I learned about the INRTU's Summer School for Russian Language Teachers from Russian House in Tashkent. I have never regretted my choice. I enjoyed visiting museums and libraries of Irkutsk, trips to Baikal and along the Circum-Baikal railway.
I dedicated my final project to the works of Joseph Brodsky, because I teach literature at my university. In addition to knowledge, experience and new acquaintances, I take away an impressive amount of methodological recommendations, which I will use in practice”, - shared her impressions Mahigul Dzhurabaeva.
