The summer school is designed to immerse teachers of Russian language into Russian culture and language environment and to expand methodological tools in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
The program includes training sessions and visits to cultural, historical and natural heritage sites of the Baikal region (sights, museums, galleries, theaters, libraries).
Program dates:
from July 1 to July 26, 2024 (application deadline is May 20, 2024)
from July 29 to August 23, 2024 ( application deadline is June 20, 2024).
The studying and accommodation are free of charge, but participants have to cover the following expenses on their own:
-airplane tickets to Irkutsk and back;
-food (about 6 dollars/day);
-cultural program (trips to the sights of Irkutsk and Lake Baikal, optional).

Course aim
- be able to create and use test effective methods and approaches for various teaching purposes;
- to learn how to organize the learning process in the most effective way taking into account cognitive and psychological features of and individual characteristics of Russian language students;

- to explore Siberian cultural and historical heritage.

Teachers of Russian as a foreign language at schools and universities.
There is competitive selection process to participate in the school. Requirements for candidates:
1. Certificates of achievements in academic, scientific, research or social activities;
2. The average score (GPA) in higher education certificate should be not less than 4 or 70 (depending on scale 1-5 or 1-100 correspondently);
3. Knowledge of the Russian language and working as a teacher at school or university.

- an application form;
- Passport copy, showing the name, date and place of birth. Passport validity at least 1,5 year from the date of visa issue;
- Workplace reference;
- Scans of certificates of accomplishment in professional sphere.
