The title "Honorary Professor of INRTU" was awarded to the famous Mongolian businessman Dondogdorjin Erdenebat

The mantle and the badge "Honorary Professor of INRTU" were solemnly awarded to a graduate of INRTU, a well-known businessman in Mongolia, General Director of "NOEN Group" Dondogdorzhin Erdenebat.

The awarding ceremony took place in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Mongolia during the official visit of the INRTU delegation.

Opening the ceremony, the rector Mikhail Kornyakov noted the great personal contribution of Mr. Erdenebat in the development of Russian-Mongolian relations during his active political activity as Minister of Industry of Mongolia, deputy of the State Great Khural, member of the Government of Mongolia.

"Our university is proud of its graduates, who, reaching high career heights, become the national treasure of both Mongolia and Russia," emphasized Mikhail Kornyakov.

It should be noted that Mr. Dondogdorj Erdenebat enrolled to the preparatory department of the INRTU in 1977. After graduating from preparatory course, he mastered the specialty of automobile mechanic engineer. All this time he lived in the students' dorm № 8.

In his response, Dondogdorj Erdenebat thanked the Academic Council of the University for the high evaluation of his work, noting that the title "Honorary Professor of INRTU" is a great honor and great responsibility.

"During my six years at the INRTU, Irkutsk became my hometown and the University became my home. I was studying at INRTU when the formation of my personality began, which contributed to my successful career as a politician," recalls the former Minister of Industry of Mongolia, Mr. Erdenebat.

"From my own experience, I can say that all that I have achieved in life is due to the knowledge that INRTU gave me. I would like to express my gratitude to my teachers. Mongolia is still in urgent need of engineers and technicians for the development of modern industry. For this purpose, I believe, it is necessary to expand scientific and educational cooperation with Russian universities. I will work in this direction," said Dondogdorj Erdenebat.

At the end he wished the Mongolian students of INRTU to study hard and "then all your dreams will come true".

His relatives and classmates - graduates of INRTU - came to congratulate Dondogdorjin Erdenebat.

Note that Dondogdorj Erdenebat became the 23rd "Honorary Professor of INRTU". This high title was also awarded to citizens of Mongolia - graduates of INRTU - general director of the Erdenet mining and processing plant, Hoohoryn Badamsuren, ex-minister of development of roads and transport of Mongolia, Jadambyn Bat Erdene, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia, Yondon Gelengine.
