Students of a program of additional professional education «Engineer-Constructor» fulfill orders of leading companies of Russian Federation

A reverse-engineering bureau within the strategic project i.DIT (Program «Priority 2030») was created in INRTU. The bureau implements projects for the leading engineering, oil and gold mining companies of Russian Federation.

The bureau's team consists of INRTU students, who study at «Engineer-Constructor» program. First classes of the program started last autumn. The course implies two years of study, the graduates will receive a professional retraining diploma and Skills passport.

The program of additional professional education «Engineer-Constructor» supervised by Alexandra Perelygina, acting head of the Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics:

«During the first year of study the students mastered 3D-modeling, development of design documentation, etc. We decided to induct talented students into work on real projects. They will gain valuable experience as well as earn a good raise to the university scholarship».

Currently the INRTU students carry out orders of Irkutsk Heavy Machinery Plant (IZTM), Angarsk Petrochemical Company (ANHK), JSC « Gold mining company «Pavlik».

A student of the School of Power Engineering Alexei Gusev and a student of the School of Aircraft Construction, Mechanical Engineering and  Transport create 3D models and render parts for IZTM.

«Representatives of the plant suggested making detailed 3D models with visualization from assembly drawings and their isometric drawings. We develop realistic images of IZTM product elements in a special program. Irkutsk Heavy Engineering Plant (IZTM) will prepare a catalog for Metal Expo 2022 based on our work»,- said Alexey Gusev.

By order of Angarsk Petrochemical Company, Nikolai Popov conducted reverse engineering for a pump wheel. He submitted 3D model to the design and engineering bureau of INRTU for development of design documentation:

«Earlier such wheels for ANHK were made in Moldova. Now there are plans to produce them in Russia in conformity with our drawings », - said Nikolay Popov.

It should be noted that the Design-engineering bureau headed by Anton Shutenkov and the bureau of Alexandra Perelygina are implementing joint projects. In May Anton Shutenkov and a master's student of INRTU, an employee of the bureau of reverse engineering Maxim Korzh went on a working trip to Magadan to the enterprise JSC « Gold mining company «Pavlik».

«Within the import substitution program the company needs 3D models of parts of mining equipment. In future, the details will be manufactured at Russian plants. We managed to scan 38 parts in Magadan, 12 of which we have already sent to the customer to prepare design and technological documentation,» says Maxim Korzh.

Alexandra Perelygina said that the results of the scanning at JSC « Gold mining company «Pavlik» will be used in the educational process of the programs of additional professional education.
