INRTU Student Media Center - co-organizer of the All-Russian Media Forum "Gathering Point. Russia"
INRTU Student Media Center became the operator of the All-Russian Media Forum "Gathering Point. Russia". The event for primary trade union organizations' activists was held in St. Petersburg on September 10-15.
The forum was organized by the All-Russian Trade Union of Education and the Student Coordination Council of the Trade Union with grant support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
In spring, Elena Kausheva, head of the INRTU Student Media Center, won a grant from Rosmolodezh (5.9 million rubles) to conduct the project "Gathering Point. Russia." The large-scale forum includes distance learning in six areas, a competition for the best student media team and an educational program with the participation of federal experts.
The forum attracted over 100 representatives of student union media centers from 40 cities of the country. Participants were offered to improve their skills in design, SMM, mobile video shooting and video content for social networks. Within the framework of the "Media. Tochka" contest, the best among ten media teams was determined.
INRTU was represented by eight students. Elena Kausheva supervised the competition program. Evgeny Podlinov, Ivan Patrashov and Ksenia Gorkova supervised the areas of photo story creation, video shooting and graphic design on social networks.
"Students Maria Belik and Vyacheslav Kravets were responsible for the broadcasting of the event. Future architects Yuri Agrafonov and Anna Gaskova were the participants. To go to St. Petersburg, each student passed an intra-university selection process," says Elena Kausheva.
Evgeny Podlinov, representative of the INRTU Student Media Center, shared his impressions of the media forum:
"I coordinated the work of the "Photohistory" section. Each coordinator had to independently develop an educational program and find suitable speakers.
On the first day of the forum, we met the contestants, organized interesting sightseeing tours for the participants, and then they were trained. The final events of the school were the defense of projects and summarizing the results of the contest for the best media team of the country".
According to Evgeny Podlinov, the project is "Gathering Point. Russia" allowed him to improve his skills at organizing large-scale events and make useful acquaintances.
Last year, INRTU Student Media Center was among the TOP-10 teams according to the results of the competition "Gathering Point. Russia". The event was organized in the resort village Divnomorskoye in Krasnodar region.
