INRTU has strengthened its position in the media activity rankings

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has presented a rating of media activity of higher educational institutions for December 2021

In the overall rating of media activity, IRNTU has strengthened its position by 29 points over the past six months and now ranks 57th among 219 universities under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The final M-Rate consists of three indicators: the effectiveness of the university's work with the media (Index Mass Media), social networks (Index Social) and the official website (Index Site).

The indicator of the effectiveness of the university's work with the media takes into account the number of publications about the university and its employees in regional, federal and online media, the audience of these sources, the number of published stories on TV channels, as well as the number of exclusive news about the university or its projects posted on the resources of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. According to this position, Irkutsk Polytechnic University was in 68th place in July 2021, and by the end of the year it took 49th place.

The performance indicator of the university's work with the site takes into account factors such as the audience of the site, the time that users spend on it, the number of site visits per month, as well as bounce rates. According to information at the end of the year, the audience of the official website of Irkutsk Polytechnic University is 2.3 thousand per day, attendance is 64 thousand unique visitors.

The social network performance indicator takes into consideration the presence of university accounts and work in eight social networks — VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter. At the same time, the significance for the "social index" of social networks is different. The largest share is held by the social networks VKontakte, Instagram and Telegram. In this category, IRNTU increased previous result by 38 points (160-122).
