Safe Living Basics

Life safety - a field of scientific knowledge, covering the theory and practice of human protection from hazards and hazards in all spheres of human activity, the preservation of safety and health in the environment.  Life safety is an integral part of the system of state, social and defense measures taken in order to protect the population and economy of the country from the consequences of accidents, disasters, natural calamities. As an academic discipline, Life Safety provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to ensure one's own safety and survival under adverse or threatening conditions. The discipline has a comprehensive, interdisciplinary character, as it considers social, medical and biological, environmental, technological, legal and international aspects. The theoretical basis is based on the achievements of such human sciences and their activities as labor physiology, psychology, labor sociology, engineering psychology, labor protection, ecology, ergonomics, economics, jurisprudence and many others.
The study of life safety allows to systematize scientific knowledge about all potential hazards; to expand ideas about the reactions of the human body to the effects of negative environmental factors, taking into account its physiological and psychological characteristics; to master the knowledge and practical skills to protect people and the environment from negative influences.

The goal of mastering the discipline

The purpose of mastering the discipline is to form a professional culture of safety, which is understood as the willingness and ability of the individual to use in professional activities the acquired body of knowledge, skills and abilities to ensure safety in the field of professional activity, the nature of thinking and value orientations, in which safety issues are considered as a priority discipline studies the human habitat, that is, the conditions of his existence.
