Text Studies

The course will provide a deeper insight into Text Studies terminology and methods to evaluate text units in a scientific and holistic way. It will give effect to the translation analysis and translation strategy selection. The course is directly related to other courses of the programme, such as History of Linguistic Studies and Translation, Linguistic Research Methods and Terminology, General Translation Theory, Cross-cultural Communication Theory and Practice, Corpus Linguistics and Translation. Also, it contributes to the final stage of the programme that is Thesis Writing and Defense.

to holistically study texts through employing sufficient research methodology and proper terminology of Text Studies, as well as discourse analysis conceptual framework
