About the program

The program is focused on research and design types of professional activities aimed at solving the problems of functioning and long-term development of objects and systems of heat and power engineering. A feature of the program is the acquisition of new knowledge by students through the implementation of research work at the Department of Heat and Power Systems, created at the Institute of Energy Systems named after L.A. Melentiev SB RAS (ISEM SB of RAS) on the initiative of Corresponding Member RAS N.I. Gambling and Corresponding Member. RAS V.A. Stennikov. Students of the department have access to the scientific and technical library of ISEM SB RAS with more than 75 thousand storage units, library systems of electronic publishing houses: IEEE Xplore, Willey, Elsevier, Springer and to unique computer and laboratory complexes of ISEM SB RAS. The training of masters is carried out by a highly qualified teaching staff of professors and associate professors of the Department of Heat and Power Systems, who are leading scientists of ISEM SB RAS, with extensive experience in research and teaching, and practitioners of regional energy enterprises.

  • Fundamental and systemic knowledge of the theory of creation and methods of managing the development and functioning of heat and power systems;
  • Skills of critical analysis;
  • Knowledge of physical foundations of processes in heat and power plants; autonomous energy systems; reliability, survivability and safety of heat and power systems; low-power energy sources for use in distributed generation systems and autonomous power systems;
  • Proficiency in the methods of mathematical modeling of thermal power plants and thermal power plants; methods of circuit-parametric optimization of heat power plants; assessing the state of thermal power plants of TPPs;
  • Guiding in the prospects for the development of the energy industry, in promising technologies for the production of heat and electricity.
