INRTU team is the winner of the national competition in the major of Technology Processes Automation

INRTU students are the leaders of the national competition in the major of Technology Processes Automation. The team from Perm National Research Polytechnic University took the second place. The third place went to the team from Angarsk State Technical Academy.

According to Yurii Golodkov, a member of the organizational committee, 61 students expressed their interest in the educational project, including students from Bratsk Polytechnic College and a branch of INRTU in Usolye-Sibirskoye. Contestants were offered to answer 30 online theoretical and practical questions. The time of testing was 60 minutes.

Victor Elshin, head of the Department of Automation and Control was the chairman of the competition commission. Associate Professor Svetlana Polovneva, senior teachers Aleksandr Ovsyukov and Alexey Kolodin also assessed the knowledge of the participants. The professors chose the best students in individual and team competition.

Kim Kwan-Sen, Aleksandr Potapov and Kirill Savinov represented Irkutsk Technical University. The students scored 225 points and became the leaders of the intellectual competition.

Aleksandr Potapov, a third year student, who got the second place in the individual competition said,

"We performed well with the tasks on the theory of automatic control, electronics and digital technology, and programming of logic controllers. We thoroughly studied these topics with Aleksandr Burmakin, Valery Salov, and Aleksandr Belomestnykh. We had difficulties with designing and reading schemes in the course of the contest. We will improve our skills in these areas."

The Perm National Research Polytechnic University team scored 210.2 points, and got the second place. The team of Angarsk State Technical Academy was the third (191.5 points).

Winners and participants with high results will be awarded diplomas.
